Vocational Supports for Adults with Disabilities
Pinewood, Inc. is a community-based day training and habilitation program providing pre-vocational and vocational services for adults eighteen years and older who have developmental disabilities and related conditions. Training is also provided in independent living, community integration, and leisure/recreation skills. Pinewood firmly believes that all persons have capabilities and learning potential and, as such, should be entitled to receive services that will enable them to live and work to their fullest potential.
Pinewood, Inc. serves persons residing in St. Louis County and Carlton County in the State of Minnesota.
This agency’s basic objectives are:
- To provide training in developing individual skills to increase employment potential
- To provide work training, in-house employment, and related services to enable persons to improve and maintain independent skills
- To assist persons in obtaining & maintaining employment in the community

Current community employment opportunities are available in the areas of janitorial, housekeeping, dishwashing, light clerical, packaging, labeling, lawn care, recycling and confidential document destruction.
